ABOUT ME

Hello & Welcome!
I just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself, tell you a little about my experience and what led me to start my own Podiatry company - Flexi Foot Care.
Before Podiatry, most of my career was well spent working in the Healthcare Sector. I enjoyed giving a variety of care to my patients, both in Care Homes and in the Community. I often saw the positive changes Podiatrists made in my care patients - this was the main reason I began to find the profession very appealing. It's well suited, because most people hate feet… But I love looking after them!

So in 2010 I decided to take a leap of faith and went back to school, to study to become a Podiatrist. I undertook an Access to Science Course, then a 3 year degree. In 2014 I graduated from the University of Northampton with a BSc (hons) Podiatry Degree, it was the proudest moment of my life and all the hard work was worth it! In 2015 I completed a masters module in the lower limb at risk which included further research into pressure ulcers.

Until 2020, I worked for the NHS as a Podiatrist specialising in Diabetic Wound Care - this is something I’m very passionate about. I have a lot of knowledge to help and support Diabetic patients in managing & preventing foot complications.
So what spurred me on to start my own company in 2020?
There are so many people out in the community that need help from Podiatrists, I feel it’s essential that patients get the care they need, from the comfort of their own home. I’m happy that this is something I can now provide for my patients, full time.
It’s important to me that I stay up to date with medical knowledge to help my patients, and I undertake continued professional development on a regular basis. I’m a registered member of the Health & Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and also a member of the UK’s largest professional body for Podiatrists - Royal College of Podiatry, which I am also fully insured with.
When I’m not working on your feet, you can find me at music gigs & festivals which I love. I also love traveling and most of all - spending precious time with my family.

Hopefully that gives you a little taster for who I am. I love helping people and that is why I do what I do.
